Gyokuro Ume-jirushi 100g by Taniguchien

Editor's Review
"Umami overflowing in the mouth"
An amazing tea masterfully prepared by Taniguchien. Here you're getting an extremely savory, brothy tea experience with umami overflowing in the mouth. Play with the thick liquor on your tounge and you'll be amazed by the rich and delicous "nori-like" tasting notes. Really, a high value for price choice.

    Best Gyokuro

Posted by Kelvin L on 26th Nov 2020

I've tried a few gyokuro tea including the one in Takashimaya but the others are not nearly as nice as this one. The one I bought at Takashimaya was really a hay taste which I didn't find too nice. This one has none of that at all. I'm coming back for this one whenever I want Gyokuro for sure. I also bought the sencha but haven't tried that yet.

Origin: Kyoto, Japan
Area Brand: Ujicha (Uji Tea)
Ingredients: 100% pure tea leaves. That's all.
Cultivar: Houshun (From Ayabe, Kyoto)
If you liked Taniguchien's Gyokuro Tea, then you'll definitely love this one. While you'll get the same Taniguchien taste notes, the umami, the savory brothiness is at another level!

Experience Ujicha*, the legendary tea of Japan.
The Houshun cultivar's roots stem from the indigenous species of Kyoto.
It's rare - Only we carry Taniguchien's amazing tea outside of Japan.

*Ujicha is the tea from Kyoto area. Famous for the high tea quality and historical significance, is considered one of the "3 great teas of Japan".

Gyokuro Umejirushi is also included in the discounted bundle, Ume-bundle of 2 by Taniguchien. Take a look at this too!
