Instructions

Brewing Instructions

1. Boil water.
2. Cool the hot water to 50 degrees Celsius.
3. Add leaves to teapot. (6g per serving)
4. Pour water to teapot (100ml) - brew 150 sec.
5. Pour tea into teacup - pour until the last drop.
* At tealife we really recommend brewing at 50 degrees or lower for a long amount of time.
*We will enclose English instructions in the package.


Storage Instructions

  • Keep it away from heat, sunlight, and humidity as much as possible. Keep it sealed to prevent air and other smells from affecting the tea.

    Lower temperature, higher ratio of tea to water. To get the thick taste that is described.

    I really love gyokurocha and tried enough to appreciate the differences. This Umejirushi is tough to beat. It has the richness but also really nice flavors. Good price point for a gyokurocha of this quality.

    Tealife service was very fast and order reached just in a few days actually. This gyokuro tasted very nice as well. very satisfied with the purchase, and definitely would recommend this tea.

    I've tried a few gyokuro tea including the one in Takashimaya but the others are not nearly as nice as this one. The one I bought at Takashimaya was really a hay taste which I didn't find too nice. This one has none of that at all. I'm coming back for this one whenever I want Gyokuro for sure. I also bought the sencha but haven't tried that yet.
