    This is an exceptional tea that has truly delighted my senses. From the moment I opened the package, I was greeted by the rich aroma of tea leaves. The flavor is exquisite, offering a perfect balance of earthy and nutty notes that create a soothing and comforting experience with every sip. This tea has become a daily indulgence for me, and I can't recommend it enough to fellow tea enthusiasts. It's a true gem in the world of teas!

    amazing houjicha!

    i previously tried the premium kaga-bou hou hicham also by koudoen and i was very impressed by its quality. this white kaga-bou houjicha didn’t disappoint as well — the roasty aroma envelops your senses the moment you open the pack. but unlike the first houjicha that i tried, this “white” version tasted a lot less roasted, hence making it a lighter tea compared to the one i first tried. i think i might like this even better! at 80g a pack, it can last pretty long even if consumed daily so it’s very worth the price too. and i would most definitely revisit the shop again because there seems to be an endless option to all the different teas and most importantly, the impeccable quality and service provided by Yuki. thank you so much!

    The Kaga Bou Houjicha is an absolute delight. I tried this tea through the bundle, and out of the 3 types I like this one the most. I feel it’s very different from the normal hojicha. It has light dancing flavours and none of the earthy darker tastes. The 90g is actually pretty big and will last for a while.

    Fragrant and so flavourful. I love the delicate, roasted aroma. Full-bodied taste yet so incredibly relaxing, especially in the evening.

    You can tell that this tea is something special the moment you open the bag and give it a sniff. I loved it so much - I think my nose was stuck in the bag forever! The taste of the tea is also exceptional. Thank you Yuki for bringing in great tea.

The "White" Kaga-Bou Houjicha is a special Houjicha made from only the selected young "white twigs" of the first flush tea. These tea twigs bursting in umami are then lightly roasted to highlight the magnificent floral aromatics of this precious tea.

 

Along with the "blue", this is a tea which we tried to add into our shop last year yet wasn't able to as it quickly ran out of stock. This year we are fortunate to be able add them into our shop but in limited quantities. Please try while stocks last!

How to brew
1. Boil water.
2. Add leaves to teapot. (1 heaping tsp per 200ml serving)
3. Pour water to teapot - brew 30 sec.
4. Pour tea into teacup - pour until the last drop.
5. Let it cool a little before you drink. 
*Don't over-seep. It will reduce the aroma.

*We will enclose English instructions in the package.

 

How to store
- Store in refrigerator if unopened.
- Return to room temperature before opening.
- Store opened packages in a cool shaded place.
