The Premium Grade Houjicha by Taniguchien is one grade higher than the Karigane Houjicha. Unlike the Karigane Houjicha, it mixes in more tea leaves (as opposed to being mostly made from twigs) and fishishes it up in a fantastic light roast with a pleasant richness which you won't find in your everyday Houjicha!

Cozy and easy to drink
Tried this hojicha recently and it’s been a really comfortable tea to have around. It has that warm, roasted smell when you brew it, kind of nutty and a bit sweet, and the taste is smooth without any harsh bitterness. It’s especially nice in the evening since it feels light and calming. Nothing complicated, just a good roasted tea that’s easy to enjoy and something I’d happily buy again.
