The white Kohiki technique gives this small-sized Matcha bowl a natural and rustic look to comfortably hold in your hands. This technique is designated as a traditional craft in Japan. 

- Mino-ware is known for its wide variety of styles, as it innovated and created different pottery styles in the late 1500s. This inspired and awed many tea ceremony masters back in the day. 
- This Mino-ware matcha bowl features the Kohiki technique.

- White clay is used to cover the base clay of high iron content, and a transparent glaze is applied. It looks as if white powder covers the surface.

- Mino-ware's Kohiki is designated as one of Japan's traditional crafts.
- The patterns are made by shaving the surface. This is called 'Sogime.'
