    Depending on how it's brewed, this tea and has a strong and pleasant aroma, full of umami taste with some astringency. Highly recommended!

    My family and I love this tea. The steeping and temperature directions provided were helpful. The tea has a fresh, green fragrance, and the astringency leaves an umami aftertaste in the mouth that makes drinking plain water immediately afterwards taste slightly sweet.

A great tasting tea produced from the extremely rare but popular Koushun Cultivar, known for its thick taste and wonderful aroma of milk and vanilla notes which are emitted from the leaves.

 

This cultivar also comes with a mildly astringent aftertaste - which makes it perfect for pairing with sushi or sashimi.


Made in the Honyama area of Shizuoka (Honyama-cha), the delicious taste and aroma that spreads through the mouth is one to behold.


Only roughly 12ha of plantations are dedicated to Koushun in Shizuoka - extremely rare!

Brewing Instructions (2 servings)
1. Boil water.
2. Cool the hot water to 70 degrees Celsius.
3. Add leaves to teapot. (4g per 2 servings)
4. Pour 200ml of water to teapot - brew 90 sec.
5. Pour tea into teacup - pour until the last drop.

*We will enclose English instructions in the package.

 

Storing Instructions
Store in refrigerator if unopened.
Return to room temperature before opening.
Store opened packages in a cool shaded place.
