    I received this tea as a sample at first and was pleasantly surprised as I’ve never had this “deep steamed” type of tea before. I decided to order this for my next purchase as I really liked the richness of the tea. As it says in the instructions included in the pack, it’s an excellent cold brew as well. Highly recommend.

    First time trying this fukamushi type of tea, and was very surprised. It was actually more different from a Sencha than I thought. Really nice tea, I might like this more than Sencha. I'll definitely try other fukamushi to learn about it more.

Deep umami and sweetness. Incredibly rich and soup-like viscosity. Unbelievably smooth.

Origin: Shizuoka, Japan
Area Brand: Shizuoka-cha / Kakegawa-cha
Ingredients: 100% pure tea leaves. That's all.

Cultivar: Yabukita

 

Produced 100% from the tea leaves of the Kakegawa area (Kakegawa-cha) of Shizuoka Prefecture. Kakegawa-cha is one of the highest regarded producers of Fukamushi-sencha across Japan.

 

This tea is characterized by a deep, deep umami and richness but with incredible smoothness and a clear refreshing taste. It truly pulls out the great attributes of the Yabukita cultivar.


Cold brewing this tea is also highly recommended.

Brewing Instructions (2 servings)
1. Boil water.
2. Cool the hot water to 70 degrees Celsius.
3. Add leaves to teapot. (4g per 2 servings)
4. Pour 240ml of water to teapot - brew 30 sec.
5. Pour tea into teacup - pour until the last drop.

*We will enclose English instructions in the package.

 

Storing Instructions
Store in refrigerator if unopened.
Return to room temperature before opening.
Store opened packages in a cool shaded place.
