Throughout the year, we will seek different areas of Japan, tasting different tea types, cultivars, and brands of Japanese tea while deep-diving and learning about each one.

From the newfound cultivars possessing incredible scents, born in the land of Sayama, to the award-winning teas of Shizuoka or Kyoto, there is a lot to get excited about and explore!

It's the best Japanese tea experience possible in Singapore!

I'll be sourcing and trying different teas for this program every month. Many teas will be ones we don't carry in our shop! It's been something I've been longing to do ever since we started Tealife, started in November of 2022, and has been continuing since.

Japanese Tea Travelers Program

How it works

You will receive an additional pouch of tea from the "Japanese Tea Traveler Program" when you make your first order of the month.


If you're eligible, it's completely free!


You don't even have to sign-up! (We removed that step) I'll add you into the program once you've hit the eligibility status.


There are 2 tiers to the program.

The Momiji Tier

  • You will receive one additional tea from the Japanese Tea Traveler program every month you make an order. (Typically, Sencha type: 10g, or Hojicha type: 5g. This may depend on the tea.)

  • You're eligible if you've ordered more than SGD 100 from Tealife in the past.

The Sakura Tier

  • You will receive two additional tea from the Japanese Tea Traveler program every month you make an order. (Typically, Sencha type: 10g, or Hojicha type: 5g. This may depend on the tea.)

  • You're eligible if you've ordered more than SGD 300 from Tealife in the past.

* Please do note that the Teas are subject to availability, and will be replaced with a different type in case we run out. 

FAQs

How long will my traveler tier remain?

Our membership is perpetual! If you have been a Member in the past, it means you still have that membership. (We started as a one-year membership, but expanded this recently)

How can I check my current eligibility?

Apologies that we don't have a convenient system for you to check. But let me know the email address you use to order from Tealife, and I'll get back to you.

Is Matcha or other powdered forms of tea included in this program?

No, we only include loose-leaf tea at the moment.

Why are you doing this?

I've always wanted to do it because it's the best way to share the diverse experiences of Japanese tea. I truly hope you enjoy the experience too.

Will I get two sets of the Japanese Tea Travelers if I order twice within the month?

We will only ship out one set per month per customer. We seek your understanding as we want to make sure all our customers can have a go at the tea.

What products are subject to this program?

Are all products available! So whether it be loose leaf tea or Matcha powder, or any type of tea tool, you can receive the Japanese Tea Travelers program tea. The purchase will count towards your eligibility status as well. 

Is shipping cost a part of the eligibility?

We provide free shipping, but if you do select charged shipping options, that will also count towards your eligibility status of the Japanese Tea Travelers Program.

I'm living outside of Singapore

Unfortunately, we don't provide the Japanese Tea Travelers Program outside of Singapore. This is due to the complexities that come with international shipment.


However, we do count your accumulated purchases. If you have made enough purchases to be eligible for the program, and you happen to stop by Singapore and made a "local" purchase, then we'll send the Japanese Tea Travelers Program tea to you.


As long as the shipping address is within Singapore, and you've met the criteria, we'll send the tea to you.

I made a purchase on Lazada. Is this eligible?

Yes, Lazada purchases are eligible for the Japanese Tea Travelers program as well.

Please do reach out if you made purchases with both our website and Lazada so we can link your account and add your purchases. (+65 8588 2980)
