The powdery form of this tea is different from Matcha in that it doesn't dissolve in hot water. This is still a "loose leaf" tea. It gives the tea a strong punch in taste while only requiring a conveniently quick infusion. The astringent nature of this tea is perfect to slap your sleepy eyes awake in the morning! Commonly used in sushi restaurants or Unagi restaurants in Japan, as it is a pleasant refreshener to wash the fishiness out of the mouth after dinner.
