Publicity Regarding the Matcha Supply Shortage
As you may already be aware, Japan has been experiencing a significant shortage of Matcha. This is driven by a surge in global demand for this green tea powder. The supply challenge is particularly pronounced for top-tier Matcha such as Marukyu Koyamaen and Ippodo, which is precisely the type of Matcha we proudly carry at Tealife.
This underlines the growing appreciation for premium Matcha worldwide, and I can't be happier for this development. However, it also means that obtaining these quality Matcha products has become more and more challenging.
We've been trying as best as we can to secure stock, however, unfortunately, we have also been limited in our ability to get stock.
There has been significant media interest recently, starting with articles on the Straight Times, and then with Channel News Asia and Singapore Press Holdings Lian He Zao Bao.
