April 2025 updates

Happy Sakura Season!
Dear friends,
I've noticed that many of my Singaporean friends are travelling to Japan for the Sakura season this year! I'm so jealous - I haven't been back to Japan for Sakura in such a long time.
I haven't been able to share the updates recently - sorry for that. But here they are! The updates for April.
Hario Products
I'm so happy to be able to introduce Hario products into our selection!
We've actually been using Hario products for a long time now. You may have noticed from several of our pictures, the glass kyusu teapots and the cold-brewing tea bottles are all from Hario.
That's why I'm so excited that we were finally able to team up so Tealife can sell Hario products! They are very stylish, incredibly well thought out and functional, and very durable. They are built perfectly for the best easy-to-use experience.
We'll be gradually increasing our selection through April and May, particularly around their teaware selections (of course!). As a start, here are some of their wonderful products.
Hario's Teaware products
One of the products I do want to strongly recommend for those Matcha Latte lovers, is their Portable Cold Brew Filter-in Tea Bottle. They are incredibly easy to mix Matcha powder for a cold Matcha Latte. I personally would use a proper bamboo whisk for a cup of Usucha Matcha of course, but for a Matcha Latte, it's quick to prepare and wash, incredibly easy to mix, and smooth to gently pour the Matcha into a cup! Do take a look!
SEN Matcha 100g
The SEN matcha has been very popular since our launch in February! Thank you so much to everyone who's tried the Matcha. It was also in February and March's Japanese Tea Travelers program, so I'm hoping everyone were able to try the tea by one way or another.
Today, we're happy to announce that we launched the SEN Matcha 100g gram! This is actually a great deal when you consider the price per gram for a Matcha quality of this calibur.
Here are some of the products we just introduced.
Harugasumi Matcha by Marukyu Koyamaen
For those of you who are avid Marukyu Koyamaen followers, yes the Harugasumi Seasonal Matcha is here as well! Marukyu Koyamaen has different seasonal flavors, and the Harugasumi is the blend for Spring. We don't have too many in stock, and just like the other Marukyu Koyamaen products, are exteremely popular. So make sure you don't miss out!
New Tea Caddies for Loose Leaf Tea
And last but not least for this month's announcement, we've introduced two new types of Chazutsu or tea caddies for loose-leaf teas this month! They are the Stainless Steel Chazutsu Tea Caddie and the Copper Chazutsu Tea Caddie. Both are quality handcrafted metalwork by the craftsman town of Tsubame in Niigata Prefecture of Japan.
Japanese Tea Travelers Program for April
The first tea of the Japanese Tea Travelers Program for April is the Ujinotsato Sencha from Kyoto, Japan! It's a great Sencha which really stands out when you cold-brew. Try using a Hario cold-brew water bottle to make it!
The second tea of the Japanese Tea Travelers Program is the Asatsuyu Kabusecha from Ureshino, Japan. The Kabuse-cha is a very rare tea. It's like in-between a Gyokuro and a Sencha. You can drink it either way - as a Gyokuro or Sencha as well. It's a delicous tea that is rich in Umami from the southern areas of Japan. This is a tea we don't carry in our shop at the moment, so make sure you don't miss!
Thank you for sticking around and reading to the end! We wish you a great April - and I promise I'll try to do proper updates for May as well!!
